I only received this book today and I have read most of it already. A must have for any Grace Kelly fan like myself or for anyone who just want's a few tips on how to live a more elegant, stylish and 'Grace-ful' lifestyle. It is a great little dip into book filled with interesting facts about the lady herself and includes lessons on how to add a little bit of 'Grace' to the everyday. A great read.

I bought this as a gift for a friend and read it beforehand. I learned a lot of things I never knew about GK and how she was really ahead of her time in many ways.

Fluff 4 July 2013
By Savant11 - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover
I tried to like this book, I really did. I'm a huge fan of old films from the 50's and early 60's. And I've also admired many of the women in those films who understood that you can be both feminine and powerful at the same time. But there is very precious little of that in this tome. I must have gotten two-thirds of the way through before giving up and putting it aside.

There is really not that much substance to the book at all. I was looking for a book which would provide some insight in how to be graceful (pun intended) and powerful. But instead the book comes across as a gushing homage to Grace Kelley by a star struck fan-girl. With the exception of a mention of her affairs with various men, there really wasn't that much to questionable to her personality. Given the way the author goes on about her Kelly might as well have been an angel from heaven. There is a brief mentions as to what Kelly went through, but there wasn't that much depth or context. The `lessons' which McKinnon applies to Kelly's experiences could easily be attributed to just about any woman or man. It's basically the expansion of a fortune cookie saying or a Hallmark Greeting card.

I strongly recommend What Would Jackie Do? An Inspired Guide to Distinctive Living, by Shelly Branch and Sue Calloway, or the `Gospel According To Coco Chanel' by Karen Karbo. There's much more depth and excellent advice.

Grace--a role model. 5 Feb. 2014

Grace was my idol when I was in .jr. high School. Kate Middleton is the new Princess Grace. They both give/ gave young girls a very positive role model.
