5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent 30 Mar 2006

All I have to say about this album is that it's one of the best purchases I've made this year and I'm sure the cd will soon just fall apart having been played so often!
Favourite track is 'The Truth About Heaven', but the whole album's great.
Kudos to AfS!

5.0 out of 5 stars Talented, Unique...and still not mainstream?! 5 April 2005
By Jon D
Format:Audio CD
I first discovered this band when booking my Fightstar tickets at the Wulfrun Hall this May. I learnt that Armor for Sleep were to be the support band. Having never previously heard of them before, I set about researching them and discovered they have had 2 full albums already, this being their second (and best).

Techincally punk/emo, Armor for Sleep are amazingly versatile and challenge everyday norms with this unique album. The opening track, "Car Underwater" is melodic and punk-charged, while other tracks like "The End of a Fraud" can be somber, moody, and emphatic.

I couldn't believe this band are only mainly support! They easily have the same or more quality than the current bands you'll see on Kerrang! TV or in the charts.

Don't believe me? Have a listen to the songs above!

Armor for Sleep are destined to be huge...and mainstream.

4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty damn good 28 July 2005
Format:Audio CD
I bought this album on the strength on one song, car underwater. Now usually when I buy an album on the strength of one song I am dissapointed.

BUT, with this album that is not the case. Overall it is a very well produced album, the guitar work is great, drumming and bass lines are good also. Perhaps the vocals are a bit weak with only Ben doing all the work (perhaps backing vox needed?). But I am very impressed indeed, the writing of the songs is exemplary. The driving sound of this band is very pleasing to me, personally car underwater is the best track but the first five are all good. My other highlights being "stay on the ground" and "walking at night alone". The album tells a story, and I like it!!
