Techincally punk/emo, Armor for Sleep are amazingly versatile and challenge everyday norms with this unique album. The opening track, "Car Underwater" is melodic and punk-charged, while other tracks like "The End of a Fraud" can be somber, moody, and emphatic.
I couldn't believe this band are only mainly support! They easily have the same or more quality than the current bands you'll see on Kerrang! TV or in the charts.
Don't believe me? Have a listen to the songs above!
Armor for Sleep are destined to be huge...and mainstream.
BUT, with this album that is not the case. Overall it is a very well produced album, the guitar work is great, drumming and bass lines are good also. Perhaps the vocals are a bit weak with only Ben doing all the work (perhaps backing vox needed?). But I am very impressed indeed, the writing of the songs is exemplary. The driving sound of this band is very pleasing to me, personally car underwater is the best track but the first five are all good. My other highlights being "stay on the ground" and "walking at night alone". The album tells a story, and I like it!!
