5.0 out of 5 stars Class Act 17 Jan 2008
By Si B
Format:Audio CD
Brilliant 3rd single from a group who will be massive. Catchy tune with fantastic guitars and drums and a lead singer who has the vocal talent and lyrics which lives up to the Manchester rock and roll scene they come from definately up there with the dare i say it Oasis, Stone Roses of the nineties can't wait for the release of the album.

3.0 out of 5 stars Don't believe the hype 17 Jan 2008
Format:Audio CD
The first unsettling feature of the song was having no idea what was being sung in the first verse. The shouty slightly drawn out vocals had no clarity and i had to check out a lyrics website to decipher the song. It did build up nicely to the chorus but I thought the melody fell away by the Stagecoach line of the song.
The music does not particularily stand out from the crowd of jangly indie guitar bands. There wasn't any particular musical hook that stuck in the head from the bass, drums or guitar. The band seem to rely on the energy and delivery of the singer which is passionate to say the least. The Doherty leanings of somewhat mumbling and multi-directional melodies don't really appeal to me personally and so this will never be a favourite of mine. They have a massive journey to make to be lauded with other manchester greats!! They have the vision and drive but I'm waiting for a classic! I eagerly await!!
