Product Description

Synopsis

Ever wondered what wild creatures visit your garden at night, or which animal produces the world's biggest poop? Well, here is the book that will solve all those debates and will answer that crucial question, "What shat that?". Ideal for any nature-lover or amateur biologist, "What Shat That?" is an original and authoritative survey of the substance that, like it nor not, unites every living creature, from your pet dog to the giant African land snail. All of the major animal species are covered, together with some of the more wild and exotic species, and full-colour photographs reveal eachtype of poop in all its glory. Handy identification tips and 'Scat Facts' run throughout the book to help you gain confidence in your poop-identification ability. It includes a special colour-comparison chart for in-the-field classification; covers all the major animal species and each type of poop and much, much more...than you probably ever needed or wanted to know!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good fun and almost educational, 16 Feb 2009

An ideal novelty present for someone who's not easily offended. Some of the pictures let it down as they're not all photographs - some are just drawings, which doesn't really have the same effect, nor are they as useful to recognition purposes.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not worth it. Skim it in the shop and avoid, 13 Jan 2009
By D. Saunders - See all my reviews

It's like the author dreamt up an 'amusing' title and then was faced with the task of filling some pages to accompany it. It's of no interest or use to anyone and isn't funny at all.

2.0 out of 5 stars Meh,, 8 Jan 2009

I bought this as a joke present and thats all it can aspire to be. The various stools, turds and pats it includes are less than intersting and it lacks any real element of humour other than the title. It's written in the style of a reference book but contains little more than glib comments pulled out of a google search, if this was handed in as a GCSE assignment it would struggle to attain a D grade; that is, if there were a GCSE in animal poo. Inpired by how the author duped me out of 7 quid with a slightly witty title I am considering producing a book entitled DIRTY SHAGS (and other sealife effected by polution) easy innit?
