I loved this book because I love doctrinal studies. I have heard devotional messages for years and been taught very little doctrine, what the bible actually says. What God actually says with his words, shouldn't that be the most important thing? I have found that the emphasis on devotional or spiritual application while ignoring the doctrinal application is dumbing down the body of Christ.
This book like all of this authors materials are so refreshing and doctrinally oriented.
He is a bit blunt when speaking of those who try to pollute God's words. I find that refreshing also. Our lord was quite blunt and used harse words directed at people. "Ye vipers, ye hypocrites." Christians today are too timid, even pastors who should be bold in the proclamation of the truth.
