I enjoy Alvin Hall's writing style and there is no better time to glean some words of wisdom about personal finance. He can help motivate you to get your house in order with out "a preaching at you style". He has good tips on savings and investments and cuts through the jargon to plain english. What Not to Spend: Priceless Ways to Manage Your Money

Good investment. 22 May 2009
Format:Hardcover
A well laid out and simply written explanation of the subject matter. Alvin comes across just as kind and funny as he is on his televison shows. Good reference times just as valid during this economic downturn.

By G. L. Haggett VINE™ VOICE
Format:Paperback
A self-help book full of the down-to-earth, honest-to-goodness advice with which those who have seen the amiable Mr. Hall's TV programmes will already be familiar.

Looking to assist rather than prescribe, he places the emphasis very firmly upon the individual to accept responsibility for his/her actions, but also to keep money issues in perspective and not to let them prevent you with getting on with your life.

Recommended for anyone concerned about their financial well-being, this book is summed up beautifully by the author himself when he says: "Thus, money is a vital tool in the pursuit of happiness. But never forget that it's only a tool, not the end in itself."
