An excellent sequel 19 Jun 2011
By Beeshon
Format:Kindle Edition
This was the sequel to Expectations and we rejoin twins Matt and Chris and Chris's husband Aiden. Having enjoyed Expectations, it was like putting on your favourite slippers; the three young men felt like my best friends. This is not an action-packed story but it is very emotionally charged. There are new dilemmas, new misunderstandings and new tragedies which can either make or break each of the trio: Matt still has his personal demons to contend with and Chris and Aiden's relationship is as intense as it was and both of the latter still have unpleasant, scarring memories of their pasts. Whilst this book is a sequel, Liz very deftly manages to make this a stand-alone novel but I would defy anyone to not want to read the first one. Liz's ability to draw the reader into her characters leaves you wanting more. They have grown up a little and with new responsibilities and future plans, I hope we haven't said goodbye to the twins and Aiden.

REVIEW- Ok to start off i just want to say that before Liz Borino and her MAGNIFICANT work came into my life...i had never read any fictional book that did not contain vampires, wolves, witches, ghosts or fallen angels...everytime i bought a book that was an ordinary fictional book, i would read the first chapter and be put off immediately because it had no story or excitment. Miss Borino's novels are what i have been looking for since i can remember...from the very start they took my breath away and i was immediately pulled into many ordinary situations within a very unusual family...

What money can't buy is one of the greatest novels i have ever read...it is a great addition to the first book in which i was first enthrilled by Miss Borinos work...

Throughout this enire novel i kept thinking how i used to be jealous of the love between Rose and Dimitri (Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead) or Maggie and Caleb Significance by Shelly Crane) but now that has totally changed...i am now jealous of Chris and Aidens relationship and how well they handle each other, how loving they are with each other and how honest they are with each other...the way Miss Borino describes their relationship makes me wish that somewhere out there is a couple who are exactly like this...the perfect couple who have the most perfect life.

However although i may say they have the most perfect life...they encounter so much pain and regret in this novel its a wonder how they can still go on with life...they are so strong, so brave that anyone reading this wishes they had their strength to encounter the things that are possible in life...things that many fight through everyday....Miss Borino you are a true inspiration!

My favourite part of this novel without giving to much away has to be the very end...where i think although we see it throughout the novel, is the main section where we truly see how meant for each other Chris and Aiden are! we see how much they love their family and how much they want that family to grow... ;)

Overall, this was an exceptional follow up to an even more remarkable beginning! it is truly the work of a god and so i will plead with you all if you haven't this for whatever strange reason, i highly recommend that you do!!! you will not regret it!!! I would like to take a moment and thank Miss Borino for introducing me to what is now my obsession and would like to thank her for everything she has done for me!! THANK YOU!!!! ¢¾

United By Books Review by Lindsey Hutchison 2 Mar 2012

Matt, Chris, and Aiden are back and settling into houses of their own for their growing families. Chris and Aiden are taking care of the twin's father, though Chris still has a hard time with what was done to him. Meghan moved in with Chris and Aiden to be more comfortable while carrying their babies. Soon Aiden gets hurt and has to rest and cant dance till he is healed, but that comes at the worst time as he took on a special class. Sarah, the nurse to the twin's father, has something against Chris and Aidens relationship, but is starting to like Matt. Then tragedy strikes for Chris and Aiden while Meghan is carrying the babies.Matt let go of his drinking and player ways once he fell for Carley, but now has another the beginnings of another addiction. Matt's girlfriend Carley, notices that Matt isn't acting quite himself so she starts thinking the worst in her hormonal, bed-ridden, pregnancy state. So much so that the increase in her lack of trust may end up hurting their relationship.

Oh Liz you did it again. The first book I was hesitant about, then couldn't get enough and wanted to jump right into the next. Then I start the second book and I was drawn in again. Liz Borino has evolved her characters more in this book. You went everywhere in this book with emotions. You felt the tender love between Chris and Aiden.I Sympathized with Carley but there were times when her over reactions got on my nerves. Matt has a bit of a bad rap since his last secret drinking problem is known which makes him feel ganged up on. I teared up when the incident with Meghan happened .And by the end I was at the edge of my seat clicking to get to the next page, holding my breath in hope, frustration, and by the end, ultimately joy. I for one can't wait for book three to see where Liz takes us all on our next journey into the boys lives.

A Great Sequel..... 20 Nov 2011

In this, the follow on to "Expectations", Liz Borino continues the saga that is the lives of twins, Chris and Matt Taylor, and Chris's husband Aiden.

Once again, this talented writer has created a storyline which is packed with emotion, raw honesty and heartache. All our favourite main and secondary characters return and are immediately thrown into the unpredictability of life and the circumstances which are thrown at them. This story contains everything from birth to death and laughter to extreme sorrow.

This is not a typical romance and I thank you for this Liz Borino! There is plenty of conflict, passion and humour as the life situations which this family are dealt indeed prove that no amount of money can buy love. As with "Expectations" I found this to be a great read and am left wanting more. Really looking forward to book no: 3 so please do not leave us waiting too long Ms. Borino!
