5.0 out of 5 stars A very attractive and slightly different pop-up book., 12 Jan 2001
By A Customer
We first read this book at storytime at a local bookstore. My three year old son was fascinated by it and I immediately earmarked it as a Christmas present. I suspect all children like books that "do something" and the coloured ribbons in this book are interesting to look at and fairly resistant to toddler handling. For a younger child it is a lovely way to learn colours and the names of a few animals. My son is interested in the concept of making a rainbow. An older child would probably appreciate the repetitive nature of the text with some new words on each page. I'm sure this book will appeal to a wide range of chilren (and adults).

This is a perfect book to share with your pre-school child. It has lovely ribbons that open on each page to create a rainbow. A small, bright, fun book for teaching those all important colours.

5.0 out of 5 stars What a great kids book!, 2 Feb 2009

What a wonderful book! My friend lent me her copy and my kids loved it so much I had to order my own! My daughter always asks for 'Bainbow mama' - she is only 1! My son is 3 and says this is one of his favourites! Great for teaching them their colours.
