5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Reading 27 May 2008
By Annie Hager - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover
This is an amazing story of what one person, led by God, can do to help those who need assistance. I found it to be a very uplifting account of giving to hurting people. Very easy reading.

1.0 out of 5 stars author pats himself on the back 30 Oct 2013
By rideon - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I thought this would be a book about what God desires of us, which is for us to believe that his son came to earth to die to take our sins away. Instead it was a book saying just what the author did. I may have missed something but there was nowhere that the Gospel was mentioned. I'm glad that I read it before giving it to anyone else to read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Inspires Faith in God's Perfect Timing and Provision 26 July 2013
By Donna Cosmato - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
What God Desires is a behind-the-scenes look at the struggles, hardships and successes endured by Matthew 25: Ministries as founder/president Wendell E. Mettey and staff members tried to find a warehouse to store donated goods. For those who are currently wrestling with similar challenges in starting or maintaining a mission outreach, there is plenty of inspiration and testimonies. However, this is not just a book for those involved in humanitarian aid and/or disaster relief. This book tells a tale of how God's provision and perfect timing trumps any obstacle standing in the way of accomplishing his mission and vision for a ministry. I recommend it highly for its inspirational value.

4.0 out of 5 stars A good read 11 Jun 2013
By J. Robert Ewbank - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover
This second book by Wendell E. Mettey is about the center for Humanitarian Aid and Disaster relief. It tells the story of working to find a center, failure and final success as he attempts to serve needy mankind in a Christ-like manner. This is an excellent story.

J. Robert Ewbank author "John Wesley, Natural Man, and the Isms" and "Wesley's Wars"
