Product Description

Product Description

When vaccines first became available, they were considered a godsend-parents suddenly had a way to keep their children safe from devestating diseases like small pox and polio. Today, however, we may be over-vaccinating our children-sometimes with alarming repercussions. Every year some children suffer consequences as a result of vaccinations, and one school of thought believes that the vaccine used to prevent measles, mumps and rubella may be related to the rapid rise in autism (up 300% in the past 10 years). While most doctors continue to routinely recommend vaccinations, parents have good reasons to be concerned about rare but potentially associated consequences. In this book Dr. Stephanie Cave explains vaccinations-the pros and the cons. With detailed facts about each vaccination, as well as regulations and laws, this book provides easily understandable information to help parents make a knowledgeable, responsible choice about vaccinating their children.

I am still on the hunt for non-bias literature regarding the vaccination debate but I think that this is a near impossible task. However, I do think that this book is possibly one of clearest and non-bias vaccination books that you may find. Written by somebody who administers vaccinations but writes clearly and comprehensively about the pros and cons of each one and the possible side effects of both the vaccination and the disease. I highly recommend this to anybody on the search for answers as to whether to vaccinate or not. Quite honestly, your damned if you do and your damned if you don't. If money was taken out of the equation, I wonder what would happen?

The first time I questioned vaccines was when my daughter was first born and a packet of leaflets where given to my by the hospital. The one containing "facts" about vaccines had the words "if you choose to vaccinate".
Which made me think "why would you NOT vaccinate your child?, They're safe aren't they?.
Which led me to start researching books on the subject.
And I'm so glad I did.
This book is a must for any undecided parent.
After reading this and many more books on the subject, I have decided to hold off vaccinating my daughter until I feel comfortable that proper research is done into the safety of vaccinating infants.
I feel it is the best thing I ever did, looking into child vaccinations.
Fully recommended read.

I thought this book was excellent. The writer really knows the subject and she offers an objective view so that people can take their own decision about vaccination with all the info on the table. If you are concerned about your children's health, this is a MUST.
