Mary Oliver uses words as I would like to play the flute, or paint. She is masterful at finding the exact word to describe an event. I want all her books.

My sister turned me on to Ms. Oliver ' s work this past winter. I have always been fascinated by nature's beauty and simplicity. Ms. Oliver is the first poet whose imagery comes closest to matching my personal perceptions of nature. I have discovered a new favorite.
Poet Extraordinaire 9 Nov 2013
By Mimi - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
Mary Oliver is MY poet of the century. I love nature, love watching what happens in the wilds--even if those wilds are my backyard in the suburbs. Ms. Oliver's many books of poetry and prose-poems are a wonderful and frequent reminder of the richness that can be founded by actually being in nature. The soothing qualities of her writing are such helps to deal with a very hectic and disruptive world.
