DVD Description

The extended Director’s Cut of the international hit What the BLEEP Do We Know!? includes new scientific findings that supplement the original movie, and goes more deeply into the concepts explored. In What the BLEEP – Down the Rabbit Hole, interviews are lengthened and a full 95% of all interviews is never before seen footage exploring the links between quantum mechanics, neurobiology, human consciousness and day-to-day reality.

Featuring an hour of new interviews and two new scientists, Dean Radin, Ph.D., and Dr. Masaru Emoto, and author of The Field, Lynne McTaggart; and introducing Dr. Quantum in 20 minutes of new animation, this is the deeper film exploration audiences have been asking for.

The original storyline, which follows the journey of professional photographer Amanda (played by Academy Award winning actress, Marlee Matlin) as she comes to understand the sources of her depression and slowly change her life, is slimmed down to make room for more in-depth interviews with sixteen of the world’s top physicists, engineers, physicians, biologists, researchers, journalists and mystics, who talk about consciousness, psi research, physics, biology, emotion and addictions.

The scientists are the stars of this movie, and there’s no forgetting it. But they, too, are human. Never does the movie elevate them and their information as above ordinary human understanding. Indeed, the movie’s power and magic lies in the fact that it really makes us understand how human beings are connected to each other - to the whole universe - and how we all affect reality.

Quirky animation highlights much of the film, introducing highly complex scientific concepts in a simple, understandable way. Done with humor, precision, and irreverence, these scenes are only part of what makes this director’s cut unique in the history of cinema, and another true winner.

This DVD is fascinating. The first two discs contain about five hours' worth of explanation from various scientists about Quantum Mechanics, brain function and so much more. Don't let this put you off. For a start, if you're even contemplating buying this DVD and reading my review, I guess you must have an interest in mind-blowingly enlightening, intelligent material. This is it. The scientists have a way of explaining complex, abstract science in an accessible way, mainly thanks to the editing and construction of the films. If you watch this and "get it", it will change your life.

This documentary contains English subtitles for the hard hearing. The subtitles are quite big, there often are three lines of subtitles on the screen. The documentary contains no additional languages nor does it contain different subtitles.

The documentary is based on scientific correct information and is very interesting if you don't know a lot about quantum mechanics. If you do, I wouldn't advise you to buy this DVD. Although it's informative and seems mostly correct, you should watch this from a critical point of view. The documentary starts out very informative but soon is all about the philosophical interpretation of quantum mechanics. There is a lot of incorrect information on the DVD which the creators of this DVD make seem like scientific fact while it's only a big assumption. I'm not going to return it but I'm only keeping the first disc, all the others are going in the trash...

This DVD may be good to learn the basics of quantum mechanics and the philosophical interpretation of it but keep in mind that this documentary should be critically watched. If you have a thirst for quantum knowledge rather then philosophy, I suggest you buy a good scientific book.

I apologize for language mistakes as I'm not a native speaker, I just wanted to warn potential buyers who are - like I was - hoping for a scientifically correct documentary about quantum mechanics.

What the Bleep!? Down the Rabbit Hole [DVD] [2005] [Region 1] [US Import] [NTSC]

More detailed than the original What The Bleep Do We Know? and makes actually a lot more sense. Stretch your brain and power of reasoning with this amazing box set. Did you think science could provide evidence for the existence of God? No, neither did I... but it does! Open your mind and ask yourself: just how far down the rabbit-hole are you prepared to go?

Please don't waste your money. This DVD is really quite sad; a bunch of deluded, self-obsessed fools pontificating of the nature of reality.
