Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
This is a useful book about anorexia for young teenagers who may have an eating disorder. I bought it for a 12 year old relative. It is presented in a simple and relevant way and makes difficult concepts accessible to the very young. With each large picture, there are just a few words, and anyone with a reading age of about seven or eight could read it. This is its limitation, however, because more able teens will find it over-simple and possibly therefore, a bit insulting to their intelligence. It is said to be for 'young adults' but, actually, one couldn't give it to anyone much over the age of 12. I had hoped to find something more suited to an intelligent teenager, but as yet, have not found anything.

Format: Paperback
A non-patronising message for children who might be suffering from an eating disorder. Why non-patronising? Because it was clearly written from the heart by the author who went through it herself.

I would say it was aimed at primary school-aged children given the picture book style. Which is what I was looking for. It is not a medical book, it is a book from one person to another saying it is okay... you can get through it like I did.
