DK Eyewitness books belong on your child's bookshelf 11 April 2011
By M. Heiss - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover
This book covers more than just whales - it shows all sorts of marine mammals, including seals and walruses, sea lions and dolphins, porpoises and manatees.

Incredible photographs hold your child's interest, and the facts and details give your child an excellent understanding. This book also covers whaling, and includes a photograph of a whale that has been killed by whalers. It shows seal hunters, also.

There is a good section in this book that shows the problems associated with fishing and pollution. It talks about oceanographers and marine biologists, how they track and identify ocean animals, and how humans are helping and studying these species.
Awesome set of books. 4 Mar 2012
By Arnold Castro - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover|Amazon Verified Purchase
The entire collection is fantastic (not only this book, but any within the collection). I gave 5 books to my boys for Christmas and keep getting more until I finish the collection. DK books are particularly good for kids because of the ridiculous number of drawings, graphics, and photographs. Worth every penny.
A Great Gift! 27 Sep 2011

I bought this book as a birthday gift for my grandson. He has loved it. I think the pictures as well as the information make this book a welcome addition to any child's library.
