intended to be an encyclopaedia of all the information which is needed to
relocate but from the experiences described the reader will learn many
important facts which may help to smooth their relocation.

This book is the second edition of "Gone to Spain", published by the same
publisher - a book which was very well received by many key reviewers.
This new edition has been carefully updated to take account of increases in
the cost of living in Spain since the Euro and changes in legislation.

I did not set out in this book to provide the reader with a
detailed check list of everything he/she might need to know on relocation
to Spain. There are many other books which do this in far more detail. I
would encourage anyone making a similar decision to read as much as
possible. Read rather than watch relocation TV programmes since they
generally promise that everything will be perfect.

I hope that the description of the various trials and tribulations which
faced us in making such a life-changing decision will possibly help others
to avoid some of the problems we faced.

This book is not a description of an idyllic return to nature, running a
farm, restoring an old building or running an olive grove. It describes
how we changed a suburban English lifestyle to a similar lifestyle in the
sun of the Costa del Sol.
