The first cd is brilliant. Despite his annoying trademark slurs, "exactly" after any cameo's comments, Westwood appears to have calmed his style of looping the first line of a song eight times over. His selection of songs is immpecible; the club anthem "Lean Back", the involvement of British acts such as Dizzee Rascal and the irritatingly catchy "My Neck, My Back" to name but a few.
However, the second CD makes it apparent that Westwood has ran out inspiration. Now don't get me wrong, I love the classics such as "California Love" and "Rapper's Delight", but they feature so regularly on other hip hop compilations, you would think that Westwood would have steered clear. The other major disappointment is the fact he includes songs that have already featured on previous Westwood "joints" such as Lil' Jon's "Get Low" and the M.O.P classic, "Ante Up".
On a whole, the album isn't half bad. It gives you a chance to listen to the latest hits whilst featuring the backbone of today's hip hop scene. However, I feel that I have been cheated out of the chance to sample some of the underrated and less commercialised acts that have so regularly featured on previous Westwood compilations.
