A Crowning Glory the Abbey certainly is. However this history pack is certainly not. Whilst the booklet is fine the DVD is appalling.
A few old news reels, mildly intertesing of the Abbey during the war. The main component - a tour with the Dean is badly filled and put together. No fault of the Dean who is a very knowledgable and personable in front of the camera, but why have him sitting there talking to the camera in a static way whilst the images he is talking about are shown and very badly filmed and edited. A fabulous topic badly handled,there was no artistry at all in this production.
The package is nicely designed and the music CD is fine although all this music can be found on numerous other CD's but its the DVD that lets it all down in a big way.

I am very pleased with this DVD it is excellent and most interesting all the way through. I would recommend it to everybody.
