Product Description

Micket Zucker Riechert's sword-and-sorcery trilogy has proved itself a real winner for Millennium since its first trade appearance. Its sales record is excellent. Set in a sweeping north-European fantasy world, and following the adventures of the hero alone - the only survivor of the genocide of his race - it is simply stuffed with the sort of ideas, action, characters and magic that all sword-and-sorcery fans look for. Now comes the pb edition of THE WESTERN WIZARD - sure to follow the success of its companion volumes.

Fantastic novel of the highest standards the genre can contain. The LOTR. was a parfect start in and of its own with an array of competant characters and possibly the best POV character I have ever read in a Fantasy novel. Colbey is the ultimate swordsman and when your reading it you can be fairly certain he is as feared a warrior as there could ever be. I actually read all these books a few years and read all the current ones to and find M Z. to be one of my personal favorite authors. The only reason I wrote this is because I read the other guys' terrible review and decided I had to write something decent about a faboulous writer. Anyway excellent book mis it at your peril. Cheers.

This is an excellent book, and a very entertaining read. The adventures of Colbey keep you on tenderhooks until you find out what happens. Well worth the money.

this book was very entertaining. how could you not be enthralled with so much going on? but so much was happening that it got rather confusing and instead of being able to enjoy it you had to concentrate on what was happening! exciting adventure, but a bit to unrealistic for my liking. i couldn't take it seriously as i just didn't believe in the characters and the story line. but a good book, worth reading.
