This was an interesting book with clear photographs and accompanying text. My only disappointment was that most of the Signal Boxes contained standard equipment and it would have been interesting to have included some photographs of signal boxes with non standard equipment, eg. in the Bristol area. All the same an interesting read.

You might be thinking, how is Western Signalling a neglected subject? But the beauty (in my eyes) of Kevin's book is that it captures the equipment at the end of its life, and that of course is what I remember from my youth (although much of what features in the book was already gone by the time I started to take notice.)
Very useful for anyone modelling BR Western Region. My only criticism is that it isn't twice as long!
