Easy to fit in my mac book pro and configured with no fuss. Sits there doing it's thing with little or no noise, perfect. Bought a caddy and the old drive is now a usb backup device.

Bought for early 2009 MacBook version 5,2. Was easy to install and programs seem to load faster and I now have loads of space for photos, videos etc. No regrets.

Installed this in my Macbook Pro (13" mid 2010 model) after my old hitachi drive failed. Works fine running OSX Lion. Everything loads very fast, though I don't feel it's much faster than my old 5400rpm drive, and it's definitely more noisy. You can't feel much vibration - no more than you would with a slower disk. It does make a noticeable amount of noise when the laptop is placed on a hard surface like a desk, but it isn't distracting or annoying. Sounds pretty quiet when it's on your lap and I'm sure a larger laptop would be quieter still.
In all, seems like a good drive, glad I got this one.

Improves PlayStation 3 load times

Big, fast and not very expensive
It holds a lot of stuff, loads it very quickly, and is very good value. Also, as a 9.5mm high unit, it fits very nicely in my laptop.
