Bought for early 2009 MacBook version 5,2. Was easy to install and programs seem to load faster and I now have loads of space for photos, videos etc. No regrets.

This is an excellent hdd to upgrade your ps3 with,You will need a usb flash,this hdd.
First backup your data on the ps3(this will take a couple of hours dependant on how much you have on your drive)
Remove your old hdd from the ps3(also remove hdd from the enclosure)
Screw your new hdd into enclosure and insert into ps3(the ps3 will reformat the new drive for you,once this is done insert your usb flash drive and go to settings.system settings backup data.restore data)Viola a 698 gb hdd.I had a 60gb fat ps3(launch model,backward compatible) Enjoy.Western Digital 2.5 inch Scorpio Black 750GB 7200rpm SATA 16MB Internal Hard Drive

Bought it about half a year ago for my late 2007 MBP, replacing stock 5400 rpm 120 GB hdd. Asides from storage, speed increase is also very noticeable on boot times, copying files between partitions, opening/installing applications etc.
So far it has been reliable, and not much louder than the stock one in everyday use - at least those few extra decibels it emits, when copying or parking heads, doesn't bother me.
With added extra 2 gb ram, and osx snow leopard upgrade, this hdd basically revived my ancient laptop.

I have a 13" mid-2010 MacBook pro. Replaced the original Hitachi 250gb disk with this Scorpion Black 750gb disk. Sped things up dramatically, turning on went from 2.05 to 40s, but my old hard disk was pretty much full. Applications open instantly now too, it really makes a difference. Actual capacity is closer to 700gb, but this is to be expected. Noisier than the original hard disk, but doesn't vibrate and it's a constant noise like blowing so not distracting or annoying. Also battery life seems less than before, not too bad but I used to use it all day without charging, now I don't think I could.
Therefore 4 stars - it's really quick but the pay off is that it is louder and more power consuming than the original. Doesn't bother me, I stand by my choice.

Ordered the drive last Thursday, got an email saying it was dispatched on Sunday and arrived to my home in Dublin Tuesday morning. Now that's service!
Last month I bought 8GB of Ram and then bought the drive to complete the upgrade of my MACBOOK 2008. Delighted with the price, and as a few have mentioned there is a slight increase in sound from the drive, but in all honesty, my old drive used to sound like it was about to take off, this drive however blends into the background, and unless there is absolutely no other noise around you wont hear it.
I have also heard of a slight loss in battery life, but although I have only been using it since last night, I have noticed a slight increase. This may be due to the old drive having to work slightly harder as it was near capacity and had solid use for a long time.
I would defiantly recommend this product and seller. Since installing Mountain Lion last night, my boot time to surfing the web is 1 minute.

My daughter wanted a new laptop for her birthday (cheeky little so and so).... turns out her hard drive was full. Decided to treat my self as well. Dropped straight into my MacBookPro early 2011 and the nipper's MacBookPro (?early/mid 2009).
Just cloned using carbon copy cloner before installation.
Needed to pop off to the local hardware store for a T6 torx screwdriver to get the screws off the old hard drive.
Much bigger than the stock HD, a little quicker perhaps, no noise issues (so far).

My 320GB 2010 MacBook Pro was beginning to run out of disk space. I thought a HD upgrade was not possible but a quick search on YouTube convinced me it's not difficult.
I was undecided between this 750GB drive running at 7200rpm and a 1TB Samsung version running at 5400rpm. Most hard drives (USB, NAS etc) I've bought have been WD and they've never let me down and I didn't think I'd need a terabyte so went for this model.
Installation was a breeze. I can thoroughly recommend two really useful YouTube videos, search 'HS6ELFwD3A' for the physical installation and 'xwLEl6AuKhY' for restoring the OS.
So I've now got oodles more disk space and I can see my MBP lasting at least another couple of years. I think the increased disk speed makes it a little faster but I'm not sure. It's a bit like your car feeling faster when you've cleaned it. It doesn't seem any louder and battery life seems more or less the same.
So if you're thinking of upgrading a laptop purely as you're out of disk space then think again.

purchased this for my new M18x to set up a RAID0 with the existing 750gb HDD.
Delivery was prompt and packaging was great. Took back of laptop off and installed the drive, Booted up and let it do its thing and then set up the RAID0.

What do you expect? You put it in a computer and data gets written onto it. Sometimes they fail, mine hasn't.
