I bought this hard disk as a replacement for the hard disk on a recent EboxB202 Intel Atom machine which came with a standard 5400rpm Seagate hard disk. Seeing that I push my eeebox to the limits by sometimes running several disk intensive tasks, I needed a performance boost besides 2Gb RAM. This hard disk is one of the quietest and greenest I have seen so far. Following a clone from my old hard disk, performance did increase and I couldn't be happier. If a boost in performance is what you want, then this is one hard disk you ought to go for. Recommended.

I bought this due to the higher spin speed to upgrade a 3 year old laptop that was "creaking" a bit. I also loaded Windows 7 at the same time and am absolutely delighted with the results. The power on time due to win 7 AND the HDD start up is aprox 20 secs now (It was well over a minute before) and the HDD is pretty much silent. Great value for money.
I bought it as replacement for laptop 5400 drive, and speed generated by this drive is amazing!
