I have purchased several copies of Ionian by Rod and this book of the West Aegean looks as though it will be just as useful. The harbour chartlets with waypoints WGS84 are also of great assistance, the overhead harbour views with the clarity of water make identification of shallow areas so easy to spot. I expect a copy of this book will be on the charter yacht but you cannot beat having your own copy to study before you go. I also use it in conjuction with Google Earth, it's like you have actually been there before you go. I was only interested in the Northern Sporades pages 253 - 275 so the book covers a bigger area than I wanted.

Helpful and simple to use. Some places mentioned in the book are not accurate (eg. water depths in harbours/marinas).

This book is classic Rod Heikell.
If you have experience of his other pilot books, you'll know what to expect.
Just the same very high quality narrative, photos, suggestions, etc.
It really does read as though he's been in every part of the area and knows just where you should go for the best of everything.

A copy of this was on our flotilla boat to use for the duration of our holiday in the West Aegean. Buying it on our return has given us a great souvenir of some of the places we visited.
