The outside appearance of the item is of a good standard but the torch is a very small on the bottom. I consider it more of a keyring with a light on the bottom rather than a torch- especially for the price.

Looking for a Doctor Who Christmas Ornament? 14 Feb. 2011
By R. Carlson - Published on Amazon.com
Verified Purchase Durability:    Educational:    Fun:
As of Christmas of 2010 there were still no decent Doctor Who ornaments available anywhere that I could find after an extensive search of the web. This little Dalek keychain can easily be converted into a Christmas ornament. It's just the right size and looks very cool. And it's actually a little to bulky for a keychain in my opinion... but I'm a guy and don't carry a purse. I gave this to my 20-year-old avid Doctor Who fan daughter and she loved it. I showed her how I intended it to be an ornament and while she agreed that it was perfect for that, she liked it too much to only have it out at Christmas time. It now sits nicely on a shelf on her desk at work.

Weak flashlight but fun toy. Whisk & plunger will break off quickly 4 Nov. 2011
By MaiLau - Published on Amazon.com
Verified Purchase Durability:    Educational:    Fun:
Since this is a keychain I used it as a keychain. The whisk and plunger extensions were very flexible and broke off within the first week of use.

The flashlight isn't the best but it works in a pinch. The item is cool otherwise and people always ask me about it.

Like it but the appendages broke off 11 Dec. 2012

I was really happy with the detail, but it didn't take long for the parts sticking off the Dalek started to break off. First the part that holds the keychain to the Dalek broke, and then the other parts started falling off. I guess that's what the evil Dalek deserves!! but not what my pocketbook deserves! I would only recommend this item if you intend on using it to display and not as an actual key chain. Maybe that was a part of the Dalek's plan the whole time-which is to use inferior engineering to escape the clutches of its human captors!

Dalek key chan 7 Feb. 2011
By Wave - Published on Amazon.com
Verified Purchase Durability:    Educational:    Fun:
This the latest in a line of Dalek key chains. It is plastic and highly detailed.
The penlight operates by pressing both sides of the Dalek.
As with most Dr who stuff, It is geared toward the collector.
I doubt it could survive intact under normal usage.
The arms and the eye piece would be the first to go.
The loop holding it to the chain does not look that strong either.
This one could safely hang from your rear view mirror without threat of damage like the Tardis emergency fund key ring.

More toy than tool 28 Feb. 2013
By Alice Marks - Published on Amazon.com

This item was significantly larger and more fragile than I expected. It's cute, but it's not going to slip easily into my handbag, and it's not going to last long if I try keeping it with me regularly.
