I was looking for a traditional kettle for a gas hob that was stainless steel, that had a whistle & that was of a quality construction. The handle is screwed [not spot welded] to the body which you usually only find in quality products; the rubberised handle should ensure that it never slips from your hands; it is stainless steel; it has a whistle & it also has a lever to temporarily lift the whistle whilst pouring that works extremely well. The shape isn't quite as traditional as I originally had in mind but everything else was better than I could have hoped for & I am very pleased that I took the time to find this particular kettle.
