Product Description

Cory Anderson is 15 years old and living on the streets. His father has rejected him and turned him out because he is gay. Richard Mathews is 50 years old, and his life is a mess. His business has grown and is now self-perpetuating and did not need him any longer. Richard hasn’t made a decision about his life for years. Cory and Richard’s lives were in ruins, but something amazing happened. They met.

About the Author

Richard Norway was born in Northern Minnesota in 1944, but he was raised in Southern California. He studied Architecture at the University of Arizona in Tucson for three years before graduation from the University of North Dakota with a bachelor of science degree in Civil engineering. His engineering career did not afford him a creative outlet, and he took up writing in 1993. Richard, now retired, lives in New Mexico with his partner, two dogs and two foster sons, soon to be adopted. Richard and his partner opened the first of six regional gay and lesbian community centers in New Mexico. It is the only such community center in the state.

5.0 out of 5 stars Essential reading 22 Feb 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This book is a must have read. The author really gets the message across that there is no shame in being gay, being who you are and that you are no less of a person because of this. It also drives home the need for everyone to feel safe about their sexuality whether at home, school or even work. Bullying should not be tolerated anywhere!
I for one fell in love with the characters in the story, felt their pain and anguish. I wanted to scream out to them to make them realise what was unfolding around them, to nudge them in the right direction. You know for a fact that you have a good story in front of you if it makes you feel like this.
It takes you on an emotional roller coaster, the tears freely flowing towards the end. Enjoy the story and make friends with Cory, Kevin, Matt Josh, Kelly and Dawn. Oh and of course Richard without whom none of this would have been possible.

5.0 out of 5 stars Moving 6 May 2014

No sex gay novel I found difficult to put down. It was an emotional and uplifting story peopled with well drawn characters even if their morality tests credibility.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic 8 Jan 2014
By BDH

The start is a bit shaky and mildly far fetched but after the first few pages the story and the characters really develop and it becomes what I consider to be an amazing book. It restores my faith in people and life, I will read this over and over.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Good Read 2 Jun 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
This is a very good read. I felt that I know what Cory was scared of, as a teenager. I believe in him and his story. Will written.
