What can be said that already hasn't about The Ramones...hmmmm
As a live album this is no classic, but if you're a long standing Ramones fan, as I am, it will probably take you back a few years.
Joey no longer has "that voice". It's much deeper and raunchier, but it gives you the feeling he's still experimenting and giving it all for one last time. As I've said in other reviews, it is evident that his lymphoma is/has taken it's toll. Some of the songs are practically "hummered" through, but again this also adds to the charm oddly enough. Songs that stand out are, KKK took my baby away, I Wanna be Sedated, Spiderman, Pet Semetary and the final 8 or so renditions, typically the finalé with Eddie Vedder, "Any way you want it".
Johnny really piles on the guitarwork and Marky's drumming is simply outstanding keeping up. The much under-rated CJ adds a welcome breath of fresh air with his vocals.
DeeDee, unfortunately, disappoints with Love Kills, whereas Lemmy gives a good R.A.M.O.N.E.S.
For Die-hard Ramones fans.
Gabba gabba hey!
