This DVD was given as a present to our dinosaur obsessed 4-year-old. It is not an enjoyable film from an adult point of view. The story is all over the place, packing far too many strands and side stories in. Some of the dialogue is quite adult and goes over the heads of our 3 year old and (now) 5 year old. The animation is okay, though shows its age. Of all the kids DVDs we own (and we have many) it is my least favourite. Having said all that, the kids love it. And at just over an hour long it is a good length for some after lunch distraction. My advice would be buy it for kids under 6, but don't inflict it upon any adults!

If your toddler is into dinosaurs, this is a quite refreshing cartoon, teaches a lot about change and evolving. I like it too.

Despite being a Spielberg film, there is not a lot of depth in this. There is a fairly interesting backstory involving time travel and bickering scientist brothers but generally it just rolls along, with little sense of awe at having dinosaurs wandering around. Characters are fine if undersued, and the one song is actually quite good. Short film, not scary for 3 year olds.

Loved it
My youngest is dinosaur mad, loves the film. Great little story, and fun for the family to watch. He had it 1 day and had already watched it 3 times.

my dinosaur toddler didn't like this from the start - the animation is very dated and the story line didn't work for him. Didn't finished it and has never watched it again.
