5.0 out of 5 stars Great knife 4 Aug 2011
By Glevum
Bought this as i fancied an upgrade from my trusty Victorinox Hunter swiss army knife. First impressions was what a big & heavy knife it is but holds well in the hand. Very well made, though a little disapointed the blades dont fold down with that'snap' like the victorinox ones do!
To me, whats worth the money is the superbly constructed pliers, they fold out with a trusty snap and lock into place and even more so when folded away. Only thing missing for me is the tweezers and toothpick which i now have to keep in the supplied and well made holster.

All in all a great knife....i love it.

Thank you Amazon.

5.0 out of 5 stars Here's a BIG 'un! 2 Nov 2011
This might not be everyone's cup of tea due its enormous size - and possibly the handle in its "synthetic material" might put you off but, if you can put those points to one side, the knife is remarkable. There are so many gadgets on this that you never need to use another "gadget plus other bits 'n pieces"! Wenger seem to have thought of everything, literally! Very strong, built beautifully and you could say, fairly confidently, that you'll never need to consider any other "knife".

4.0 out of 5 stars A nice curio 1 Mar 2013

This has come down in price, which is good.
However, it is still expensive compared to other Wenger Ranger models, for what it offers.
It has 2 blades but only the serrated one locks.
The pliers are strong enough but not heavy duty.
Nice but small metal file.
The sheath is nice but the screw bits can move about in their pocket and are then a pain to get out.
Feels good in the hand.
More of a collectible than a user, though it can be used well if needed.
With Wenger now stopping the production of Swiss Army Knives this is a good buy.
