This book is well written and a very good companion to those cruising the Llangollen Canal. It's full of useful information. The journey times are helpful with planning the days journey and allow for the gentle pace that the boater should adhere to if he/she wants to get the most out of this type of holiday. Read it before your holiday and it will enhance the experience. Full of clear, easy to follow maps, lots of information about the canals and anything of interest beside the canals including places to visit and eat. We have used these for years and would not use anything else. They are regularly updated as well to keep up with changes on the canals and towpaths. Definitely recommended.

This is the bible for canal holidays. Clear symbols all accurate and good explanations of where to visit. Excellent recommendations for places to eat and shop. I recommend anyone booking a canal holiday in the UK to use the Peason's Canal Companion relating to the canal you are travelling on.
