"The Welsh Revival of 1904," by Eifion Evans, was not what I had hoped for. I had read very lively books about the same time period, such as Norman Grubb's "Rees Howells, Intercessor." In the Evans book I was expecting something equally as exciting as Howells' spiritual experiences during that time.

Instead, Evans's work turned out to be largely historical, drily recounting events, times and places. The volume was evidently painstakingly researched and truthfully recorded. However, for me it fell short of being at all inspirational; I struggled to read it.

On behalf of the Amazon vendor, I should add that the book came just as promised, in good condition and prompt in delivery. Those were its main virtues for me, however.
