I've been using silicone kitchen products for a few years now. This multi use tray is brilliant in my opinion!
It's made from silicone so has great heat resistance qualities, is very pliable, virtually non stick and very easy to clean!
This tray is better quality than most you may find in well known cheaper high street shops. It's thicker and heavier. It measures 9 inches square by 2 inces deep so quite substantial.
You just use this as you would a metal one. It's perfect for lasagne, cottage pie or what we use it mostly for. . .macaroni cheese! I've roasted chicken breasts and veg in it and you can see it all sizzling inside the oven as it would in a metal one, brilliant. I've also used this for apple crumble, sponge cake and refrigerator cheesecake! So yes it does come in very handy! To clean, just use warm soapy water, anything left on after cooking comes off so easily. One thing to know is that most larger silicone baking trays are flexible and not rigid walled. So take care removing from the oven. I always put mine on a solid tray that I can take it out on therefore not picking up the silicone item! Oh, silicone cools down very quickly too, so you can handle it within a minute or two!
