Best jazz vocal cd in years,

This review is from: Well Kept Secret (Audio CD)
"Well kept secret" is the perfect title, except that Norma should be known by every serious jazz fan.
The opening track "Where and when" sang with the verse is nothing short of a masterpiece. Having Jimmy Rowles as an accompanist is a huge plus, Jimmy is one of the few piano player that knows how to back a singer and yet give her full support. George Mraz on bass and Joe La Barbara on drums complete the ideal rythm section (They can swing) So here we have a fantastic singer, a great band, a well chosen repertoire and a beautiful sounding cd, what else would one wish for?? It is just perfect.
