Having seen them live in Oxford in May I was expecting a lot from this album and I'm glad to say it delivers, and keeps delivering. Definitely a grower, though some is pretty instantly appealing too. The singles are just part of their sound. I don't know about the Beach Boys comparisons - I never did 'get' the BB anyway. There's not a weak track on this album - a 5 star album as they used to be...Favourite tracks keep changing as new depths appear. Current highlights are Alexandra - gorgeous gear change half way through; Amsterdam with an addictive blues guitar phrase somewhere deep in the mix...this was great live! Lyrically a bit weird, but hey that's more than OK...Berlin Wall and Waikiki? WTF? Who cares when it sound this euphoric! Insert your own meanings here.

Forget the musico analysis...WBTM will make you more cheerful and put a spring in your step, have a mysteriously beneficial effect on your sex life, tone any flabby muscle groups (but not too much) and bring success and happiness to you and your relations. Buy several copies and bequeath them to grandchildren or just pass them out to strangers in the street who look as if they need a bit more colour and love in their lives.

What a great CD!
The right sound for the summer - when you're in a bad mood - or whatever.
It is a mix of Beach Boys, a bit Scissor Sisters, dance.
But sounds never old fashioned.
If you are looking for a bad track - you will not find it here!
Great harmonies, great vocals - sometimes strange lyrics, but who really cares?
Highly recommended stuff!
