Pure beeswax and gentle lanolin are some of the ingredients which make up this soothing Weleda nappy cream which helps prevent the development of soreness and reduces existing redness, leaving baby feeling comfortable.
This is a deep-nourishing and protective barrier cream to help prevent redness and reduce soreness. A baby's skin is delicate, and this is particularly true around the nappy area. Nappies get wet and it is therefore not surprising that the skin around the nappy area may get sore. However it is not only wet nappies that may be the cause of this, as during the first two years of a baby's life, it's intestinal organism may be disturbed--this can be due to colds, teething etc, but this will also have an effect around the nappy area.
This cream provides reliable protection for the nappy area. For daily care apply after cleaning the skin with calendula oil or calendula lotion. Apply liberally, especially in the folds of the skin. This cream can still be applied to open/sore areas. To promote healing, let the baby have an hour or so without a nappy as air helps healing. Protects from irritation and inflammation, adheres well to the skin. Also useful in geriatric and nursing where tendencies to skin inflammations are observed in cases bed confinement or incontinence.

This stuff is great, a friend of ours sent some over from Germany as part of a baby gift - now I wouldn't use anything else.
It's a tad expensive here compared to Germany, but it really is worth it. Our baby was starting to get nappy rash and we'd tried a few creams from Johnsson & Johnsson, sudocream etc but the rash was only a bit lighter. With the Weleda cream it's gone and has stayed gone.
Buy it.

This cream is quite simply a first-aid kit in a tube.
It is fantastic.
Even though the need for a nappy cream is long gone, as a family we use it on anything and everything - cuts & grazes, minor burns (including sunburn), exzema patches (for which it is excellent), dry elbows. I even rub a little into my feet after a hard day.
My family call for 'Mummy's magic cream' whenever the need arises.
It smells fantastic, has no chemicals, isn't tested on animals & it works - what more could you ask for?!

I love this range, however this item came down with packaging in 'German' only. So was not sure what the cream was as it was called Baby and Kind Calendula Babycreme, not stating that it was nappy change cream.
I translated the packaging description which came up as
'maintains and schutzt effectively forwards wundsein within the diaper range'
So I guess it is the correct cream, but think it is very poor that I was sold an item that I cannot read or understand the packaging of. Luckily the range is organic so I cant go far wrong with this cream, but it is a bit misleading.
