Welcome to Drama Academy [Kindle Edition]

I usually don't write bad reviews because what one person hates another could adore, however, this 'book' was so terrible that I just had to make an exception. 'Welcome to Drama Academy' was originally online as a fanfiction but by the time I found it the story had been removed and published. It had nearly 13,000 reviews and the synopsis sounded good so I thought I may as well buy it, with that many reviews there's no way it could be bad - evidently there was a way. I really wish I hadn't bought this. The story reads like it has been written by an 11 year old girl who is still stuck in the 'boy Vs. girl' war. There is no character development and the fights between the 'goodies' and the 'badies' are so tacky and cheesy they make me literally cringe. The 'jokes' are about as funny as my 2 year old cousin's punchlines of 'banana' - without a joke before hand. The 'author' spends more time constructing the boarding school her characters attend than she has developing an actual plot line and making her story interesting. I urge everyone to stay far, far away from this book.

There are lines like 'Ha...Newbie' which are apparently so hilarious that they cause everyone to simultaneously burst into laughter

and various interactions such as:
'so...work out much?' Heather snickered and the crowd behind her burst into laughter.
'That's really none of your business'
Okay Newbie...just stay out of my way and we won't have a problem. If you don't, it's your funeral'

and

Good - 'You know what? Why don't you just go to the Bimbo Store and get three shirts that say Dumb, Dumber, and Dumbest? It goes perfect with your personalities'...
Bad - 'How dare you insult us!'...
Good - 'Actually, we don't want to talk. Unlike you people, we have a life'

That's about as witty as this story gets.

I had to archive this book after just a few chapters and I always finish what I read.

Great teenage novel with everything you could possibly want to read. Wonderful read that had me captivated from the start. A few typos and spelling mistakes throughout the novel, giving a slightly less professional impression. It is a wonderful book, even if there are spelling mistakes and definitely worth the read.

I'm going to make this pain and simple, read this book! Definitely worth the money. And if I honestly didn't believe that I wouldn't be saying it. I'm not lying! This is a great book for many reasons and it actually changes my outlook on life.
