Book Description

Prison is not all about beatings, rapes, homemade knives, and tattoos. There are some pretty funny characters locked up behind those walls. And the only way to get to know them, is to become one of them.

I know, there has to be a better way.

Tales of high adventure and broken dreams. Some lies included.

Welcome to
Prison--Enjoy Your Stay
is number two of a three book adventure story.  Book number four is currently in the
typewriter (do they still make those?). The first was Shoulda Robbed a Bank.  Tales of a fourteen year party that
landed the author in Federal Prison for five years.  He'll be the first to
admit that he had a great time along the way.  From the first toke to a
dealer of ounces.  Then, the first pound, traveling from Florida to
Massachusetts with a tourist from Boston.  Up the ladder to
multi-ton transactions--and bringing the 'evil weed' from the Bahama Islands,
Mexico, and Colombia, South America.  One big bash that led to prison.
This is not a 'whiny, poor me' story.  This is a tale of fun-filled
adventures--complete with lost boats, lost aircraft, and the successful
multi-ton offloads.  These guys used everything available for
transport.  From helicopters to burros.  The true story of everything
that can go wrong and the elation when everything goes right.  A good time
was had by all.  Except prison.  That was not much fun.

The books in order:

      Shoulda Robbed a Bank

      Welcome to Prison--Enjoy Your Stay

      The Reluctant Counselor

More About the Author

Hugh was busted for conspiracy to import and distribute 12,000 pounds of marijuana. He spent 5 years in Federal Prison for this indiscretion and learned quickly that he was not suited to that way of life. He has since mended his lowdown ways. His ways, but not his beliefs. The biggest lesson he learned while 'vacationing with the Feds,' was just how ludicrous our laws against marijuana truly are. A crime involving marijuana often earns a much longer prison stay that does armed bank robbery. Is there a problem here? What do you think?
Just good to see that the author retained his sense of humor.
Hugh is the author of numerous short stories. This is his first novel.
An adventure presented as fiction but based on very real events.
Some lies included.

4.0 out of 5 stars An UNJUST LAW 28 Oct. 2013
By Max3
Format:Kindle Edition
I stumbled upon these books by chance and I am so pleased. A great start with 'should robbed a bank' (3 books in this collection) about a man who has experienced first hand that cannabis is not a bad drug. His story has captured my imagination and the `easy read style' is encouraging for those who don't read a lot. Hugh Yonn is another Howard Marks `Mr Nice Guy. To think that people who would happily shoot someone for a few thousand dollars is accepted in society more than a man who works, pays his taxes and provides the wonderful herb cannabis to others. Welcome to Prison has a shorter more direct message.

UNJUST LAW
Tales of outlaws released earlier for crimes more hideous... USA hauling Greeks in when they had no intention of entering USA just scouting round it.

The power Hungry Jobs worth Idiots... A real good show of characters that inhibit our world. I await Book 3 eagerly :) still enjoying the tale Hugh!

Great read. The author has been brutally honest, especially of the circumstances that meant he was given a prison sentence.
