Book Description

4 Feb 2008

One of the most photographed women in Britain, Coleen knows what it's like to live in the celebrity glare. The fully updated paperback of her number one bestselling style autobiography 'Welcome to My World' offers exclusive insights into her transformation from an ordinary Liverpudlian schoolgirl into a glamorous style icon.

During that transformation, Coleen has become a huge inspiration to young women everywhere. We have watched in admiration as she has become sought after for the cover of the world’s fashion and style magazines, featured in Vogue, presented her own TV programme, become a regular magazine columnist and worked as the face of high profile brands.

The updated paperback includes the story of her star-studded 21st birthday bash and her exciting new TV plans.

‘Welcome to My World’ is Coleen's chance to share with her millions of fans the ways in which she has developed her taste in fashion, and the tips she can pass on from her increasingly admired style and her fitness regime. She also gives fascinating insights into what life is really like in the unrelenting celebrity spotlight and amidst the glare of the constant paparrazi flashbulbs.

Along with often humorous insights into Coleen's world, the book includes her tips on fashion and style do's and don'ts based on her own experience of growing up in the limelight. It will be an inspiration to anyone interested in fashion, glamour and how one girl coped when she was thrust into the celebrity spotlight and her life changed forever.

About the Author

Born to a happy and close-knit family in Croxteth, Liverpool, Coleen was first snapped by the paparazzi on her way to the school she shared with her boyfriend, football star Wayne Rooney. Since then, Coleen has become darling of the glossy magazines and tabloids who love her for her chic and up-to-date fashion sense and her happy, grounded attitude. Coleen's adopted sister Rosie suffers from a rare genetic disorder, and in 2006 Coleen presented a Tonight with Trevor McDonald programme on the role of children's hospices in helping the families of disabled children. Coleen writes a column for Closer magazine and is the face of many high-profile brands. She has been signed by ITV to present a series of style programmes on ITV1 and ITV2 from 2007 to 2009.

1.0 out of 5 stars urrrrggghhhhh 13 Nov 2007
Format:Paperback
I'm a huge fan of the Wags but I thought this was awful. There was nothing in it that wasn't in the magazines and it was over-priced and pointless.

5.0 out of 5 stars A good look in to the life of a wag 21 July 2007
Format:Paperback
This book is better than i thought it would be. I really enjoyed it. Coleen talks about things that she has done and for once she doesn't start off when she was little and works her way up to the present. Its really good i would read more of her books if she brought some more out. she doesn't make herself out to be something that she is not and you see that she is just a normal 21year old.

2.0 out of 5 stars Love it but.... 12 Mar 2007
Format:Paperback
Coleen seems really nice throughout the whole book but it didn't inspire me at all regarding style or individuality. She seems like a lovely person but that doesn't make her cool or unusual in any way. In fact this book is just exactly the same as all the other celebrity tell all books out there. Katie, Chantelle, Jade, Colleen they're all the same. Who cares? For originality, honesty and professional insider knowledge from a mover and shaker in the fashion and beauty world I place The Goddess Guide way above it as regards fashion advice and lifestyle inspiration. The Goddess Guide is my eclectic bible with the best advice on everything from denim to tips from Dolce & Gabbana and Christian Louboutin. Sorry, I won't be swapping it for Colleen's tips any time soon. If you check out both you'll see for yourself which one is better instantly.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very interesting insight
I read this on a whim; but I am pleased that I did. It gives a very interesting insight in to the world of a woman whose life is unrecognisable to what it was 5 years ago.
