5.0 out of 5 stars A Chilling First Book In The Goosebumps Series!, 13 May 2004
By no1filmaddict (UK) - See all my reviews
(TOP 500 REVIEWER)
'Welcome to the Dead House' is the first book in the chilling Goosebumps series. When i was younger i was absolutely mad about about them, and over the years i did manage to read them all. Its hard to say which one is the best, but this one is definately amongst the best.

When their Dad inherits a huge old mansion in a spooky village called Darkfalls, Amanda and her annoying brother, Josh, are not too happy about going, especially as it means leaving all of their friends. However the house is really big and they soon come round to the idea, and they even make a few friends. Things go very much downhill however, when they hear voices of children at night time, and see mysterious boys and girls in the house, which then disappear without a trace. Their so called friends also become very creepy, never wanting to play outside in the day time. One night, when their dog goes missing, Amanda and Josh try looking in the graveyard, and find much more than they ever expected.

Overall a very good childrens book which sould give them somthing enjoyable and exciting to read. Once you start reading it, is very hard to put it down.
