5.0 out of 5 stars This IS the pops!! 6 Dec 2011
By gizz
An amazing document in pop/rock/indie/dance/dark/psych music..........a definitive account of Tones on Tail's output. When you listen you will hear just how influential this band where, and to think this happened in the it. Hear the tones boys how they were meant to be experienced - on vinyl-and marbled vinyl !! makes your turntable tingle....and your speakers POP!

3.0 out of 5 stars A balanced review to counter the overly negative one 27 Nov 2011
By End Of An Ear - Published on
Come on, 1 star? Yes the packaging is boring and kind of ugly. Yes none of the material is revelatory after the "Everything" set, but what would be?
The press is just right, balanced but not overly remastered. And the vinyl is clear blue for the first record, grey for the second.
There is not much to highly recommend it, but it's far better than the two (1 real, 1 fake) reviews of a single star.
The music is great and the price isn't bad for a double LP.
5.0 out of 5 stars a great find, yes I read the other "reviews" 8 July 2013
By Jared Jennings - Published on
that said. I was very happy to find something of theirs on vinyl with most of the best songs from night music, the cd I have of theirs. Sure the cover leaves a lot to be desired, but that to me is besides the point. I don't see others rushing to get their music on vinyl in 2013. I got it free due to turning in cds for credit, so it's icing on my goth cake....I have express and seventh dream by love and rockets on vinyl, so this completes my Daniel Ash vinyl collection, and yes I have foolish things desire on cd, so I'm happy.

3.0 out of 5 stars Sad lazy re-issue from those that don't care 19 July 2011
By Reg Noms - Published on
Format:Vinyl|Verified Purchase
This is nice that it's on vinyl but seriously? They couldn't afford proper art for it? This is just fugly, tones of weird things spelled and and credited incorrectly. Where is Slender Fungus? This is so half-assed it's third assed. Who ever released this one didn't at all. This release is LAZY! Lazy cover art and notes. Just sad they deserve better and one more disc would've been able to include the rest.
(edit: changed review, just was very disappointed, but doesn't deserve on star-and now it's on mp3, so I doubt those buyers care about the packaging)

1.0 out of 5 stars FAIL! Lame packaging- horrid design/album art. DISSAPOINTING 19 July 2011
By Paul Noms - Published on
looks as bad ad it does in the pic, I hoped(assumed) that was a promo thing, but no, this is some careless design. Typos and the such abound in the sparse liner notes. Carelessly rushed release it seems. Quite sad.
Don't bother. Whoever put this together didn't care at all about it, that is clear. Sadly, a huge failure.
