Product Description

Synopsis

As the International Federation of BodyBuilders (IFBB) worldwide official training log, this second edition enjoys a unique recognition. This is the most complete, up-to-date training tool for effectively monitoring safe, regular, progressive and balanced weight training and aerobic workouts for a full year. The 'Weider Weight Training Log' is unique and versatile. It first looks for men and women who introduced fitness and weight training activities in their lifestyle. It is designed to appeal to all levels -- beginners, casual and serious fitness enthusiasts. The book is endorsed by Ben Weider, the International President of the IFBB with 173 countries as members and his famous brother, Joe Weider, trainer of champions, and also publisher and editor of successful Weider Publications magazines. The Log is a training tool with undeniable advantages: adapted to all training methods; makes it easy to monitor training; helps to maintain motivation and interest; is training and results oriented; a complete analytical tool for fitness/exercise instructors, personal coaches, physical education teachers and strength conditioning coaches; and it slips easily into a gym bag!

Users can keep a daily record of their sports activities, business appointments, personal commitments and diet in a space equivalent to that available in traditional daily planners, as well as keep track of their weight training sessions and aerobic workouts. Unlike most training logs, but like all daily planners, it offers its users a full year of diary on a one-page-per-day format.<

This training log is an excellent replacement for the one that came with a copy of 'Huge - Everything You Need to Get Really Big!' I purchased some time ago. This version is packed with useful advice and covers an entire year.
There are however, a few niggles that prevent it from earning 5 stars from me. Firstly, there is no daily nutrition diary, secondly the cover is extremely flimsy (I doubt whether it will last the year that the log runs for), thirdly the section for logging aerobic training could be laid out better and lastly, it is a bit on the small side (the pages are smaller than A5) which leaves little room for writing the names of the exercises in your programme.
If the publishers could sort out these issues, there really wouldn't be any other training log that could compete!!!

Not very happy with this item 31 Mar 2005

Well, i purchased this workout log hoping it would help me keep track of my workouts, instead i ended up returning it. There were a few things about this log that i couldnt live with. The spaces for you to record your weights and sets were incredibly small. I dont know how anyone could write in these spaces, they are about the size of a fingernail. Also, i dont workout everyday but 3-4 times a week. The log has each day listed by name, monday, tuesday, etc. Well, what if i workout out on monday and wednesday? Nothing gets filled in on tuesday and i end up losing a page. Instead they should have a space where you can fill in the date and day of your workout so that you can utilize each page of the book. I do not recomend this log. I returned mine. Very low quality.

I had no problem writing the sets and reps in the squares. The first time I used this book i thought to my self that im also wasting a page on my off days but I thought it would be helpful to my workouts to know when my days of were. The 3rd edition wasnt out yet so I had to buy a cheaper smaller one from golds gym..the problem is that there werent enough smaller squares to record all my info. I reeeally like this book.I give it 4 stars.
