As with the apple and cinnamon flavour, which we also tried, I'd again comments similarly, that these biscuits are a handy size, and the little packet makes them easy to drop in your bag if you are in a rush in the morning and need something to replace 'traditional' breakfast at home, perhaps to eat whilst travelling or once at work. They are ok in terms of taste but we felt they could have had a little more taste to them and - perhaps inevitably - we found them a little dry and would not rush to purchase lots more of them. We were also confused as we received just one pack of four rather than 16. I do think it's better to have something to eat in the morning than nothing though and if this helps some people then great idea.

Towards the end of the The Hobbit, Bilbo Baggins is introduced to 'Cram' — a twice baked cake which is nutritious but of little interest other than as a chewing exercise. Weetabix has come up with something rather similar in this pack of biscuits. They are absolutely fine, taste vaguely breakfasty, and, I have no doubt, are nutritious. However, they really are not much more interesting than Cram.

These biscuits are oaty and milky, but taste rather bland. They come packed in fours, presumably to tempt you to eat all four, rather than just one or two. They make good dunkers, holding together well when coated in tea.
It's probably worth remembering that just carrying the logo of a breakfast cereal doesn't make it healthy, or a suitable breakfast.

I do generally have Weetabix for my breakfast so was quite looking forward to trying these as the convenience of not needing to add milk - or use a bowl - quite appealed.

I'm quite often late for work so I liked the idea of skipping a traditional breakfast and eating these in the car.

Sold as a breakfast biscuit, these have a pleasant texture and look to them and taste OK. Not at all like traditional Weetabix and not fantastically tasty but pleasant enough.

The taste is milky and malty and quite nice but not very cereal like and, as I've said, nothing like a traditional Weetabix taste at all.

I didn't find one on its own very filling and found myself needing at least two to replace my daily cereal. I guess that's about right as I'd have two of the original Weetabix.

Not especially filling, the best thing about them was definitely the convenience aspect.

Never going to replace the original cereal, these are OK but nothing more.

Weetabix recommends that you enjoy these biscuits as part of a nutritionally balanced breakfast, with your morning cup of tea, a piece of fruit and a yogurt. The problem is: how does that fit in with the "on the go" ethos of this product? I don't fancy trying to eat a yogurt on a packed commuter train! Instead, I tried these as part of my lunch at work, with the recommended cup of tea. They are certainly too dry to eat without a drink.

Which brings me to my second quibble regarding Weetabix's advice: the word "enjoy". While you can taste the milk in these biscuits, I would not say that I enjoyed them. The overall flavour is bland and, as a previous reviewer has said, not very much like Weetabix at all. I was put in mind of the old ship's biscuit, also known as hardtack. I received one little packet of five biscuits for review, but even with 16 of these (as the product is apparently usually sold on Amazon) I don't consider this value for money.

On opening the packet, there is nothing more off-putting than the sight of these biscuits. They look extremely dry and tasteless and absolutely not something which I would be inclined to try if someone handed me a plate of them. However, for the purposes of this review, I felt that I needed to swallow my pride, and at least give one biscuit a try. And I was pleasantly surprised.

The biscuits certainly aren't anywhere near as tasteless as I imagined and they also don't leave you gasping for a drink afterwards. I would actually consider buying a few more packets of these, in case I didn't have time for my usual helping of porridge.

One thing I would note however is that they are very crumbly and the packet I received had the bottom two biscuits almost ground into crumbs. Maybe that's what happens though when the biscuits come in the post...

I've tried various varieties of the Weetabix biscuits, and I was a little surprised by the disappointment of many of the reviewers here. I had never expected them to be a great savoury experience. I expect many of those who don't think they have time for a proper breakfast use these as a substitute, in which case it's the nutritional value that counts, rather than the taste and pleasure of eating them. I use them as a mid-morning snack, when my tum starts to grumble but it's too early for lunch. I think they're ideal for the particular role. Too lightweight to be a breakfast substitute, but ideal to keep you going when you hit that mid-morning flag.

I'm a fan of the breakfast biscuit; finding it a guilt free way of justifying that it's OK to scoff biscuits before 8am. My favourite is the milk and cereal flavour of a well advertised brand, so I was interested to see how Weetabix would compare.

These biscuits essentially have the same sweet "more-ish" flavour as those I've eaten before, but the texture is a little flakier and they have a drier consistency. You definitely need a drink to help these along the way. I like breakfast biscuits as I can nibble on them on the way to a morning meeting, but with the Weetabix variety I'd have to take a flask of coffee with me as well.
