This book is just the best! The poem is just wonderful! And the pictures are really, really pretty! If you are a cat lover, this book is for you. It really touches the heart and teaches a good lessons about life and love and loss.I'm just sorry that I can't give it MORE than five crowns! I really just can't recommend this one enough!!

Consolation for anyone who's lost a pet,
By A Customer
This review is from: Weep Not For Me: In Memory of a Beloved Cat (Hardcover)
This is a wonderful book to have on hand for when you've recently lost a pet. At a time when it feels like no one understands the loss, having a book where the author shares similar feelings is a great consolation. I've shared it with friends, one of whom kept murmuring, 'How true!' as she read it.

A beautiful, comforting book for any who love animals.,
By A Customer
This review is from: Weep Not For Me: In Memory of a Beloved Cat (Hardcover)
The poem and its exquisitely done illustrations would be a comfort to any who love animals and/or who have lost a beloved companion. But it is a lovely thing in its own right, as poetry and art combined. The poem was originally written for the author's sister, upon the loss of a beloved companion cat. Ms. Jenkins offers words of comfort and love, whilst Ms. Schavarien illustrates the lines with wonderful drawings of cats. Both the author and the artist betray their obvious love and understanding of these companions. This book belongs on the shelves of any who love and face the eventual loss of a pet. I am buying extras to give as sympathy gifts, and one to go to the vet who cares for my nine cats.
