this is the best diet book I've read, and the best way of eating I've ever known. This author knows her stuff, and in this little book, you find out everything you need to know to be able to eat right and lose weight, without having lots of rules, details, and faffy recipes. Just some solid, proven principles of eating right, and reasons why.

The author realises that readers like a drink, and like a treat now and again, so she simply suggests the drinks and treats that are the least damaging to the way of eating.

I did this for one day, and instantly felt lighter, healthier, happier, and more energised. I kept following it, thinking I'd carry on for the two weeks, but 6 weeks later I'm still following it, and think it's becoming a way of life! My PMT has gone, I've got loads more energy, and I've lost half a stone (of fat, not fluid - and it's staying off).

i exercise loads, so after the first couple of weeks, I added in some more starchy carbs, for a little more energy for running, and the weight is still dropping off.

I feel amazing, look great, and would recommend this book to anyone. Wow, i sound like a marketing peron for the publisher, but I'm not - just a genuine person who's battled all my life with diet after diet - and I've finally found one that really works long term!

Great compact handbag sized book with good informative. Little bit on the expensive size for the size of book, but definitely still buy it. Simple, easy and effective diet plan and already lost weight on it. I needed some structure to my normal diet and this book gave it to me. Great if you have a family and don't want to spend lots of time in the kitchen and the supermarket, simple shopping list and recommended recipes.

I feel more energised and less sluggish after meals. Definitely gives you more energy to get active! And there is a lot of food/snack choice, plus there is no lack of food on it.

Have recommended this diet/eating plan to other friends. It has boosted me over my 'plateau' as I was stuck at a certain weight and wanted to lose those few extra pounds which I am doing. Not as fast as stated in book, as I am near my target weight but scale needle is heading in the right direction nicely.

A few years back an illness meant I was on steroids for the best part of two years. And I put on two stone. I have managed to get half of this off, but the remaining stone refuses to budge.

Sadly, I didn't have any luck with Fiona Kirk either. Two weeks on her plan (including the cold showers, body brushing and 1/2 an hour additional exercise at 6am each morning) and I am no lighter and according to my tape measure no thinner either.

This might be because her diet ideas are very similiar to my normal life-style. I ditched refined carbs years ago, I spin (indoor-cycling)five days a week, weight-train three days a week and do pilates twice a week. Am I skinny - no - my BMI is 24.2 and I have a solid lumpy two-inch overhang in the muffin-top department.

Fiona Kirk does however have some interesting ideas.

On the plus side I can report: a flatter stomach, no mid-afternoon energy crisis and a good-nights sleep.

Would I recommend this to others. Well - I wouldn't not... but I can't endorse the "stone-in-two-weeks" headlines that have appeared in some newspapers and magazines.

Easy to follow recipes and it really works. I bought it in order to put my husband on a two week diet and he enjoyed the food and wasn't left hungry. Would recommend this book to anyone.

This diet is great, easy to follow, and really works. I started this diet before my honeymoon and instantly loved it. It really works as long as you stick to it. Fiona Kirk is very easy to talk to.

I had followed Slimming World and weight watchers for years but they just didn't work for me. I tried 2 weeks in the fast lane, and saw immediate results, so much so that I binned my monthly subscriptions and now follow this diet.

I feel toned, and slim, healthier and my skin glows.

I recommend everyone try it.

Really useful book and interesting theory behind the diet. Although it's nominally a 2 week diet the meals are interesting, varied and good enough to form the basis of a long-term change in eating. Recommended.
