WeeRide Kangaroo Front Mounted Children's Bike Seat
The WeeRide Kangaroo kid's bike seat has been designed to provide a safe comfortable ride for your child.
The mounting bar puts your child’s weight central to the bike, the most important and unique feature of the WeeRide seat. Plus, the child sees what you see – you are easily able to have a conversation with them as you cycle, point out items of interest and they are always in your eye line so you can see them as well as talk to them as you travel. Other features include: a 5 point safety harness, enclosed foot wells to keep your child’s feet well away from the wheels, foot wells are movable and so grow with your child, padded seat, headrest for the little one to fall asleep on, and they do when they are little and when they older the headrest turns into an exciting steering wheel.
The WeeRide Kangaroo has been designed to fit as many bikes as possible, incorporating men’s, women’s, full suspension and oversized head tubes. As long as you have an adult bike, the seat should fit. The only thing you need to check is that you have at least 49cm from your seat post (the pole under the seat) to your headset (where the handlebar stem enters the bike’s frame). The seat takes around 10 minutes to fit and is very simple. Once the bar has been fitted, it stays there. When you want to ride on your own, you remove the seat and ride away. With the additional purchase of another bar you can easily mount the seat with either parent.
The WeeRide Kangaroo is officially used from aged 1 to 4.

I have just bought my second Weeride.
I am now using with my second child, and my first child is still in the seat on his fathers bike at just over 4.
Not sure how the 2.8 year old below couldnt fit in, as my son is on 98%ile on NHS scale.
When I first bought I was worried about size as it looks small, but as the company give a money back guarantee if they dont fit at 4, I stuck with it.
And I was glad I did. Sizing is no issue and it is so much fun.
It attaches to the bike frame and not the handlebars so feels so much safer.
And I much prefer having my kids in front of me.
Its not cheap, but worth it for 3 years use.

This is one of the best things I have bought in a long time , my little guy loves it and I love it too , he just loves going out on it , he is right there in front of me and we can chat away while we are cycling along , he can even lean forward and go to sleep if he wants , if you are looking for a great way to spend some time with your child that you will both love and benifit from this is it. It arrived in less that 48 hours , it took about 5 minutes to put on , it's the only child seat I could find that would fit on my full suspension mountain bike , it actually saved me having to buy a different bike to put a child seat on , at first I thought the full suspension bike was a disadvantage but after getting this it has worked to our advantage as it make for a much more comfortable ride for both of us. Again I can't recommend this enough , we are getting to go places and see things that I never thought I would be going with a 3 year old passenger on my bike. Well worth the money.

Bought a seat for my 2 year old and VERY IMPRESSED.
It is built extrememly well. I have a manufacturing background and your kid is in no danger in this seat.
It is quality platics in the shell so stays firm, the padding is excellent quality even though I went for the basic model, and the bar is rock solid.
It makes the whole unit feel very secure and safe.
But the best part is being able to chat to my little boy when we go out.
I wish I had bought a year ago.
It guarantees on the box to git upto 4 years old, so I assume they now what they are talking about, but think it will be close with my boy as he is quite big.
Ther final bonus was getting the seat the day after ordering, well done Amazon.

My lad is 18months old and tall for his age. He fits in the seat with no problem, all though I already have the footrests lowered as far as they can be I have no doubt at all that he will still fit it in 2 1/2 years time. The straps, although a tad fiddly, also fit him without issue and again (Due to the length provided) will see him through until 4yrs old. If you are saying the straps are not long enough you are either doing it wrong or have one hell of a big child.
Fitting the Bar isnt complicated but a tad fiddly again, My particular bike has a wide neck at the handlebars and where the neck goes thin is actually the turning part. I have attached it to this part and whilst it does tighten the steering if you do not tighten it up too much at the front it seems to work ok. It's not come off mid ride and doesnt need to be able to support a full grown African Elephant now does it!
The seat itself is a bit Placcy BUT!! if it wasnt like this it would be a big clunky, heavy seat which would kind of defeat the object. Its well made and perfect for the job. Someone mentioned riding with knees out!! Well slightly, I have the seat as far foward as it goes at the moment and sure my knees are slightly out...... so what! It's a minor adjustment to my riding style and lets be honest putting up with that is far better than using a backmounted seat.
To Finish, my lad absolutely loves going out on this (to the point I am stupidly fit now) and I am always getting remarks about it from other parents or jealous looks from those with back seats. I saw some poor child the other day in a back seat and her mother had a damn rucksack on....I felt so sorry for the kid I stopped the mother and told her to get one!!

Fantastic purchase really pleased with it. It didn't take too long for hubby to fix it to his bike, my son is just 2 but quite large for his age. First time on he was quite nervous, but second time he loved it and was ringing the bell, 'helping' to change gears etc. Far easier to balance and great interaction with your child versus the traditional bike seat behind you. My daughter turns 1 next month so looking to get one shortly for my bike so we can all go out as a family. Only thing I would question is whether it really does go up to the age of 4 as the seat seems awfully small and my son is already tall for his age.

After reading all the other reviews I thought I'd give this a go. My little 11 month old gets bored easily by most forms of transport but loves anything fast moving! Ordered from Amazon direct so I knew I could return easily if need be.
Piece of cake to assemble, tools provided easy to use and fit for purpose. I have a normal "hybrid" bike and the metal seat attachment fitted easily and the seat simply screws into that. Build quality is fine, seat itself feels a bit flimsy but not worried about safety because of where my boy would be sitting. Straps fine although you would have to ensure they fit tightly due to the child's seating position.
So far so good...but once I tried to ride my bike I instantly realised how useless this product is. I am 5'6, size 12 and my bike is a normal size for me. I have the saddle adjusted at normal height, i.e. I can touch the ground without getting off the saddle. But the problem with this product and reason I gave it 2 stars is the riding style is just not comfortable for any length of time. Having to peddle with your knees out wide is uncomfortable and chaffing against the side of the seat is certain for a longer bike ride (as another reviewer wrote).
For the very occasional bike rider doing up to an hour ride at low speeds on the odd weekend here and there I can see how you would give this 5 stars, but for regular usage or any distance or any on-road usage, this seat is just not usable in my opinion. The only viable option is a traditional rear mounted seat.
So it was worth trying but it's not for us - returned it for a full refund (minus 6 pounds for Amazon return delivery charges).
