I started reading this in the evening at 6pm, I finished at 2 in the morning as I could not put this book down. It has to be one of the funniest books I have read in a long time. I purchased this on my kindle and first of all the price was brilliant and some of my friends had recommended it so I bought it. I loved the whole story line but for me the winning factor was Charlottes take on everything in her life. Her though processes were so hilarious. She dissed, cursed and completely put down poeple in her head all of the time, but she also had a vulnerability about her that I liked. In short Charlotte works for a magazine and has to escort a wedding cake to Turin for a famous actor. The things that happen to her along the way are what make the story and give Charlotte more than enough challenges to deal with. A slimy ex boyfriend, a cake that isnt a real cake and a mafia boss all add into the mix to make this one of the best books I have read so far. Just begs the question, what does a girl do when she gets her period in a strange country and she doesn't have any tampons at hand?? Brilliantly written, hilariously funny and totally in tune with the way us modern women think today.
If you haven't read this book yet, it is a must read and I would recommend you buy it.

This is the worst attempt at chick lit I have ever read. The plot was all over the place and nonsensical and so stuffed full of impossible fairytale nonsense it was laughable. I got bored as soon as the handsome stranger produced a tiffany no less from his pocket on an airplane the first time he laid eyes on the 'heroine'. From that point, it only got worse. Even thought it is cheap on the kindle, don't waste your time.

Typo fest 27 April 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
I know this was a cheap kindle version unlike some books, but did they sell an unedited draft? The typos were as absurd as the plot. I signed on for the plot, for better or worse, but not for the bad editing! Shame on this publisher.
