From the Publisher

A comprehensive guide to wedding speeches
This book consists entirely of sample wedding speeches. Every one is different, amusing, to the point, lively. Any of them can be adapted to particular circumstances, or delivered as it stands - with just a name changed here or there to protect the innocent!

There are 15 speeches for the bridegroom and another 15 for the best man. There are 12 speeches for the bride's father, along with another 8 suitable for occasions when the bride's father does not speak, replaced perhaps by an uncle, brother or grandfather. And there are 15 more which are suitable for other relations and friends who may want to say something.

This book is a perfect source for everyone called upon (or expected) to say a few well chosen words at a wedding.

Waste of time 15 Jan 2002
By A Customer
As an impending groom and worried about making a speech I sought solace in the fact that there were books out there to help me put a decent one together. How mistaken I was. I purchased a few of them and this one was the worst of the bunch. Lame lines and tired old jokes. Most of the speeches were insulting rather than funny. Save your money.

This book is slightly archaic and the author presumes all girls are waitresses/shop assistants/secretarys/nurses/school teachers. I ordered this for my Dad who also found it to be more suitable for a wedding taking place 30 or 40 years ago. Definitely a book that needs to be updated for speeches about todays women !!

Excellent 23 Feb 2003
By A Customer
With my daughter's wedding coming up, I was dreading the prospect of having to make a speech. This book was recommended to me and it was exactly what I needed.

All the speeches seem to convey just the right tone of the day - light-hearted, humorous but always appropriate and sincere. I'd recommend this book to anyone - whether they're the bride's father, groom or best man. An excellent book.
