If you're an ex-pat, feeling homesick for England, you may well find this cheers you up. There's a lot of Cheltenham and English family life threaded throughout. Although I did find some of it a bit too domestic and hence a tad dull.
For me, the pace of the book didn't really pick up till Chapter four, when the long-lost half-sister (Mona) appears on the doorstep. Mona and the real sister, Jax, were great characters, while I found Belle (the heroine) and her boyfriend, Kieren - rather wet.
A gentle, warm read, if a bit slow.
