Great Naturalistic Books!

These books are wonderful for Montessori classrooms. The illustrations are rich, accurate depictions of the natural world around a farm. The realism and down to earth stories make these ideal books for Montessori classrooms that emphasize reality over fantasy for children under the age of 6. The drawings are accurate enough to identify animals and insects in nature and support our work in the classroom. These books often tell stories from the animal's perspective, with empathy for how they feel. The children in my class love these books.
