This book is very useful for all those wanting to setup and run their own website. The books starts off by taking you through all the design hints and tips for creating your website. You are left to decide on what application to create your website with but all the business side of it is described to you in a straight to the point manner. Key facts are bullet pointed and highlighted.
The book goes on to describe and suggest ways to market, promote and manage your website once it is up and running. The book contains resources for hosting and add-ons to enhance your website.
I found the book very useful and recommend it. Not many books around like this one.

What a great little book. Small and compact and easy to look up. Lots of useful information inside for small businesses and individuals wanting to create and maintain their website. Loads of other books I've bought just didn't have what this little book had. Ech chapter in the book takes you through a process from designing to marketing and promoting your business and website.

What a rare find; a book that covers the development of a website from planning through to managing. Very honest advice given on all essential areas of web design. But what I liked was that there weren't many stones left unturned! ....topics usually not covered anywhere else, those stumbling blocks you come across but can never get any dam advice on for example,: "website stickiness", "how to avoid a scam" and how to create your websites "terms & conditions" (I once spent a whole week looking for advice on this!). Refreshing and extremely useful book to have on the shelf. An author who has the real "know how" on experiences of web development, handy and easy to read. Useful for anyone who is interested in website development.

Misleading title heading
Despite the implication of the initial title 'Website Essentials' this extended set of notes is not very helpful for the novice trying to set up their first web site. Read more
